Is Vine the New Instagram?

The latest app craze seems to be centered on video apps like Cinemagram, Viddy, and Vine. No wonder, with Twitter recently unveiling Vine on Jan. 24. The launch generated buzz about the future of content creation and consumption on social media. In short, Vine allows iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad users create and post short video clips to Twitter and Facebook. Simply point your mobile device, touch the screen and the app records up to six seconds. A Snapshot of My Favorite App

Instagram, the free photo sharing app for the iPhone and Android, is one of the most popular apps in the market place today (and the app I am constantly checking on my iPhone). Launched in 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, Instagram immediately took of, capturing the public’s attention by being an easy way to upload pictures. What some people call the “Twitter of pictures”, Instagram is great to use on the go. You take a picture of something cool, and BOOM, you get to share it immediately with your friends. As an avid Instagram user, I have been obsessed since day one. Although I tend to just “follow” people that I know, it’s so fun to see what sort of pictures my friends are posting throughout the day!
