Resolutions: Another Reason to Bring Your Smartphone Everywhere

Every year I listen to family, friends, neighbors and coworkers discuss their New Year’s resolutions and without a doubt, a couple mention health and fitness as an area that needs improvement throughout the upcoming year. Has anyone actually made a goal and continued to push through until that goal was achieved? Well, for all those out there who decided the goal was to “workout more,” “lose 10 pounds,” “eat healthier or ” “run 10 miles a week,” thankfully, there are countless apps across all platforms that help us track calories burned, miles covered and nutrition all while mapping your route, managing your music and staying socially active! Who can say “no” to a little run in the park with countless activities literally at your fingertips?

I Made A What? iMadeFace

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend the 31st Annual JP Morgan Conference, where biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device companies discuss where they’ve been and where they’re going.  Ron Leuty, Reporter for the San Francisco Business Times called it, “The biggest speed-dating event on the biotech calendar. In hotel rooms, cafes and even at art gallery receptions (gasp!), biotech CEOs and business development teams are flirting with each other and their Big Pharma suitors.”

Navigating Outside Lands 2012

Up until last weekend I had never attended a music festival.  Heading into Outside Lands 2012 I was a bit intimidated – with multiple stages and artists performing simultaneously, dozens of food and drink vendors and thousands of people spread throughout Golden Gate Park, I was definitely a bit overwhelmed.  Thankfully, my friends and I had the Outside Lands 2012 Mobile App to help us navigate the three-day festival.
