About MobileFiller

At MobileFiller we’re passionate about all things mobile and all things marketing.  While we’re not an official company blog, we’re all part of the W2 Group family of companies (Racepoint, Digital Influence Group and Two Martinis).  As bloggers, we take a look at the brands behind the mobile industry – from the coolest apps to the hottest handsets and tablets – we’re interested in it all. We’d love to hear from you as well – if you’ve got a perspective on the state of the industry let us know about it!

The Bloggers:

Olivia NOlivia Narvaez: Where I go and what I do require me to stay connected; and I don’t hate it. Whether I’m at work, at home or at a casual Thursday night Giants game; I make it a priority to keep the world updated. Mobile is the name of the game and its moving fast, might as well jump on board.  I love sports, movies, food, running, laughing and of course, my phone… which is a BlackBerry.

Carolyn (3)Carolyn Linck: Born and raised in Las Vegas, I’m a San Francisco newbie. I love my family, friends, food and sports tremendously.  Anything that helps me stay connected to these things (and combine them) as much as possible is a welcomed addition to my life.

Jon Diaz: As much as I’m disappointed with the Apple location-data brouhaha, I can’t help but love Apple. My iPhone and iPad never leave my side—at work, shopping, out on a run and in bed. Passionate about consumer technology. Hardcore opera aficionado (Verdi, Mozart and Puccini NOT Andrea Bocelli). Bookworm. Blue Bottle addict.

Allison Deleo: Allison loves NCAA football, her alma mater, the University of Oregon, and getting complete connectivity and access to them 24×7.

Andrea MacLean: I begrudgingly love my iPhone. I’m having an on-again off-again fling with technology – it’s on when it’s actually useful and off when it’s just the latest way to waste time. Admittedly, I have a mobile shopping addiction problem, but am getting help. It hurts my feelings when reporters don’t respond to my amazing pitch emails, but I’m secretly envious of them, since they get to spend their days writing about cool stuff. I like piña coladas, have two kitties and am a new mom-to-be.

Marla Kertzman:   I am loyal to any brand as long as it works. My beliefs are 1) technology is life altering 2) the opposite of social media engagement is anti-social behavior and 3) there is no substitute for eye contact. When not steeped in client work I can be found enjoying the companionship of equine and canine friends, whose honesty and simplistic needs will forever keep me grounded in reality.

Nicole Colwell: Old enough to remember actual car phones, I’ve been at the cutting edge of mobile since I had the Nokia 3650 before Paris Hilton did. I’m interested in the sociological impact of mobile on our lives and the technology driving the next generation of devices. While my iPhone has gotten me out of some sticky situations, it still can’t hug me back.

Alex LattinAlex Lattin: I love the widespread adoption of mobile. From business to personal matters, everything is now on-the-go. Our society is running at an even faster pace, and it seems new advances in mobile technology are intelligent ways to keep up (whether you’re an average user or a business!). In my free time, if you don’t find me snowboarding or at the gym, then you will probably find me toying with my phone.

Gaby Lorenzo: When I think about writing, I think of my hero Randy Pausch. He said the following: “If I only had three words of advice, they would be, ‘tell the truth’.” I love all things digital music and looking at how the music industry has transformed through mobile technologies. I also secretly hope that one day I’ll be as cool as Lois Lane. She’s pretty darn awesome.

Raymond Deplazes: I love the Internet, tech, sports, style and many other things that capture my imagination. I also find it hard to comprehend how the world survived before the iPad, smartphones and wireless connectivity.

Morgan O’Leary: A Boston- bred, SF resident that loves to explore the ways that mobile technology can help us live our best lives! I’m fascinated by people and the way they interact with their world – and how mobile technology is changing this dynamic.

Thomas McLean: Interested in how evolving mobile technology continues to create a more organized and productive user. In my free time you can find me a classic cars shows, enjoying outdoor activities or at country concerts

CarrieCarrie Weiss: With a sociology background from UC Santa Cruz, I wonder why our society can’t function socially without mobile internet. Then I turn to my iPhone for a play-by-play of the Giants game. A Bay Area native but an avid traveler, I enjoy the outdoors in every season from hiking and snowboarding, to swimming and soccer. Hate it if you want, but I love country music.

Leslie Clavin: My smartphone runs my life – from keeping track of my work email and making sure the kids are on time for their next soccer game to managing my grocery lists and keeping tabs on current events (like the Giants game). My dream app? The AP Stylebook for Android.

RJ Bardsley: At the end of the day all you’ve got is your perspective… and this is my perspective on all things mobile. It’s not always pretty and it’s not always right… but I try to keep it funny and entertaining.
